Growing Stronger Groups are church-based intensive-care-type support groups for women in crisis, led by women in the church and supported by a therapist. About the Authors

Mary Beth Woll, MA, L.M.H.C., has been a therapist with Meier Clinics for over ten years. Prior to that, she and her husband, Bob, were music ministers, together.

This combination of counseling and ministry has uniquely prepared Mary Beth to lead Growing Stronger Ministries - an outreach to women in crisis - and to equip women in the church who want to reach out to these hurting women.

Dr. Paul Meier is a psychiatrist and the Founder of Meier Clinics, a national chain of Christian Counseling Clinics. Dr. Meier has partnered with Mary Beth to co-author Growing Stronger: 12 Guidelines Designed to Turn Your Darkest Hour into Your Greatest Victory.

Their common desire is to help the Church to provide a safe haven for women in crisis so that they can heal and return to a life of fruitfulness!

Dr. Paul Meier

Dr. Meier is a psychiatrist, author, and Founder of Meier Clinics, a national chain of Christian Counseling Clinics. Dr. Meier's heart lies in helping people all over the world. He is a nationally renowned speaker and has been in many countries throughout the world, including: Israel, Greece, Cuba, Peru, France, Russia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Turkey.

Growing Stronger Intern

We are so pleased to welcome our first Growing Stronger Intern, Deborah Kukahiko!

Deborah is a second-year MA-level graduate student at Northwest University in Counseling/Psychology, who comes to us with a wide and diverse background in counseling, advocacy, and small group ministry.

Deborah works with churches to launch Growing Stronger Groups and provides the supportive role of the Therapist to the Growing Stronger Leader and Participants.
